Sailing is currently a niche sport in Singapore, due to the facilities needed. It is not just about piloting a boat through a
course as fast as possible; it also requires participants to have a good level of both mental and physical fitness.
Sailing largely depends on the wave of the sea and wind. When nature is taking charge, many unexpected situations will happen. Teams will need to counter any situation arise together as they are in the middle of the sea without much assistance. Teamwork is both the challenge and success factor in sailing. When being put in good use, teams will be able to coordinate well and sail to the ending point without many hiccups. However, if teams fail to demonstrate teamwork wisely they will be pulled back by it.
